9times.org is a charitable initiative created to foster community through social events and friendly competition.

Our first year is focused on establishing a core group of like minded members. The inaugural event is a nine-hole golf league. Players can begin logging rounds on June 1st, with the season running through August 31st. Participants can join league anytime during the season.

The league includes eight 9-hole rounds, six stroke play and two stablefords handicapped, plus a season-ending 18-hole two-person scramble, played in two 9-hole sessions. All rounds can be played at your own pace and on your own schedule. 

Members may record rounds solo or with fellow league participants. Any 9-hole course listed in the 18BIRDIES app qualifies. Handicaps and scoring will be managed directly through the app. To connect members regionally, we’ll also use the TeamReach app for those interested in competing with other members on their own schedules. On select dates in certain regions, all members will be invited to compete head-to-head by the league's moderators.

At the end of the season, the top three point leaders will receive complimentary 9-hole rounds at participating courses:

• 1st Place: 6 rounds
   
• 2nd Place: 3 rounds
   
• 3rd Place: 1 round

To qualify, winners must complete all eight rounds. 

Access to the league in the 18BIRDIES app will be provided via a shared link. All members will pay for their own rounds. There is no cost to join.
 

The season concludes with a two-person scramble featuring a 50/50 prize split—half to the winning team, and half donated to supported charities. Participation in the scramble is optional and open to all members who wish to play. Scramble participants are not required to play rounds prior to the event. 

Founded in Chicagoland, the league is open to golfers everywhere. Members are encouraged to invite others to join. All new members and season winners will be approved by league moderators to ensure a welcoming and fair environment. Our aim is to grow a fun, social, and charitable community.
